Hello!
My name is Chloë-Arizona and I am an American student. I am currently studying in Jerusalem for a semester, but my primary language is English. I come from a Brazilian family, but growing up, Portuguese wasn't spoken very much in my household as we went to American schools and the rest of our life was in English. As an adult, I want to reconnect with Portuguese and grow my fluency in the language, and hopefully reconnect with the brazilian part of my identity as well :-) I have a general/basic grasp on understanding Portuguese, but am quite insecure when it comes to reading and speaking.
I am looking to build my vocabulary and build confidence in speaking and understanding Portuguese through conversation! I would love to find some longer-term friendships with people perhaps seeking to practice English and willing to help with Portuguese, because I think that language is best learned when there is a personal connection ! I am very much a beginner though, so patience will be necessary lol

I'm a math and physics teacher and a software developer. I made Aliyah a year ago. I'm looking forward to teaching in Israel and the main obstacle in my way, apart from Covid, is my Hebrew.
