I’ve studied French, Japanese, and Spanish, and now I’m focused on learning Standard Mandarin.
我曾学习法语、日语和西班牙语，现在专注于学习标准普通话。
My goal is to connect with a language exchange partner for a daily 30-minute call, split into 15 minutes of Mandarin practice and 15 minutes of English practice.

We’ll focus on basic sentences and conversation patterns.

I'm from Hong Kong and live in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada now. I used to be a Chinese teacher and holding a professional certificate in Mandarin teaching. I have obtained a certificate of Level 1-B in Mandarin Proficiency Test issued by the National Language Committee. I have experiences teaching Mandarin. My major in univer sity was Chinese, focusing on Chinese language, literature, and culture. I'm also an amateur writer and have published some novellas and essays, as well as have won a few awards. I enjoy writing, cooking, music, sports, and traveling etc.

I am born and raised in the England, therefore English is my native language. I have a neutral accent, which should make listening and learning from our conversations easier. I have an expansive vocabulary, so if you are interested I could teach you many new English words that are less frequently used in daily conversation.
My mandarin ability is still ability limited, I have been studying for 6 months and can recognise around 500 characters. I am learning Simplified characters via the use of Pinyin.

初めまして、カナダ人の数学を勉強している大学院生です。4年間ぐらい日本語を勉強していますけど、文法と単語のレベルはまだ低いです。日本語の相手を探しています。カナダにすんでいるですが、数年間フランスで住んでいたから、方言はあそこのみたいでしょう。
