Heyhey, I am originally from Europe but have lived in New Zealand for 15+ years. I am based in Auckland and hope to find friends to improve my Chinese and Japanese language skills while helping people with their English studies. As for my background I studied Chinese for a semester in Taiwan a couple of years ago. Since then I have also picked up the Japanese language so I could get immersed in their culture too. Cheers Gabor

Hello, my name is Hillary, I'm 19 years old and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. My native language is English. I like to write, listen to music, and go for walks, sometimes all at the same time. My mum says I should really start speaking Chinese, but I currently at most can send voice messages. If you want to chat on WeChat or over video call, feel free to message me. However, I already have a couple of language partners so we may not talk often. My Chinese level is HSK3.

I live in Auckland and love to travel every couple of years. I believe you have a better experience when you speak the language of the country you travel to. I speak Italian fairly well and Spanish quite well and am part of a Spanish meetup group so can practice. However have started Portuguese nearly a year ago and there are no Portuguese groups here. I'd like to practise European Portuguese in the evening or weekends and would love to chat with someone from Portugal - or Brazil if you are also searching! I'm in my sixties but happy to talk to people of any age.

I've been learning Spanish for 15 years but am not fluent. I'm retired and i like to travel, attend the theatre, garden and am trying to learn photography. I live with my husband and two cats in the center of Auckland. I would like to exchange my English for Spanish usually early in the morning as we are 12 hours ahead of Spain. eg; 2000 in Spain is 0800 in Auckland. I have attended university and also gained a teaching qualification for teaching English as a second language but have only done some voluntary teaching of immigrants and refugees. I would like exchange my English for Spanish as I need to practice to become more fluent.

I lived in Japan for quite a few years although in saying that my reading and writing is probably better than my speaking. I'm finding I am forgetting a lot of words having not used the language for over 6 months.
Chinese is at a very basic level but am willing to learn and help you with your English.
I enjoy sports. In fact, I have a friend who is involved in the current Japan Series. (That's baseball, just in case you don't know.)

Hello, my name is Randi. I'm a Canadian living in Rotorua, New Zealand.
I've always wanted to learn Japanese, as it's a beautiful language. It would also help me appreciate the art, media, and culture of Japan better; I really enjoy reading manga, watching anime, and learning about Japanese history.
I have a basic understanding of hirigana, and know a few phrases, but otherwise I am a total beginner who is seeking someone to practice with.
I would love to form a genuine friendship with my language exchange partner, and encourage anyone to message me if they're seeking practice with English.
I'm a bookseller by trade. Aside from reading manga, and watching anime, I also write, draw, Photoshop, read books, and swim in my spare time.

Hello, my mother tongue is Chinese Mandarin. I was born and raised in China. I am very familiar with Chinese language and culture. I have an undergraduate degree and a master's degree. I worked as a teacher before. I have a Chinese Teacher qualification certificate, so I can teach you Mandarin skillfully. Currently in New Zealand, I have a certain foundation in English, but it is not good enough. I'm learning English with the goal of improving my communication skills and becoming fluent in the language. It would be better if you understand the local culture of New Zealand. My interests are sports, hiking, watching movies, and learning about world culture. I prefer to have a pleasant and casual chat face to face or call.
If you want to language exchange with me, please contact me.
