I am a retired editor and writer. My mother was born in Berlin, into a Jewish family. She came to England in 1937, but she never taught me to speak German. I have been going to German classes for the last eighteen months, but am struggling with speaking. I'd like to talk every couple of weeks with someone - perhaps near me in age? - who wants to improve their spoken English. I am interested in books, films, politics, singing, walking.

I am a 74 years old retired secondary school teacher and senior manager. I am attending a beginners class in Korean but I find it very difficult. I can’t really speak much Korean yet.
I have visited South Korea twice and loved it. I’m a fan of K Drama.
I can help you practice spoken English. I would like to know more about life in South Korea.
I use iPhone or iPad so I can talk to you through FaceTime ,Zoom or WhatsApp.

Hola soy Yvonne. I’ve been learning Spanish on Duolingo since 2021 and occasionally watch Spanish films and love to read Spanish. I’m probably intermediate level. I’m not aiming to get to advanced level but would love to be able to improve my speaking as it’s sort of OK but definitely not great.
I love my job in maternal mental health. I love gardening, playing badminton, walking, nature.
I’m married with 2 daughters in their 20s.
I’m often quite mischievous and have a good sense of humour. 😄
