Hello, my name is Hilarie, I'm 20 years old and I live in Auckland, New Zealand. My native language is English. I like to write, listen to music, and go for walks, sometimes all at the same time. I live in Auckland and love to travel every couple of years. I believe you have a better experience when you speak the language of the country you travel to. I speak Italian fairly well and Spanish quite well and am part of a Spanish meetup group so can practice. However I have started Portuguese a year ago and there are no Portuguese groups here. I'd like to practise European Portuguese in the evening or weekends and would love to chat with someone from Portugal! I'm in my sixties but happy to talk to people of any age.

Hey, I’m originally from England but I’ve lived in New Zealand for almost 10 years now. I’ve recently started learning Japanese, but I’d really like to be able to practise with someone to help build my confidence and improve my understanding of the spoken language (that’s the part I’m finding hardest).
I’m still a near-beginner, learning hiragana at the moment along with some words, phrases, and short sentences. I’d also love to share my language and help others learn English.
I like to keep fit, run a little, play golf, and I love movies, coffee, and food.
