挪威语Hi! My friends call me JF and I started learning Japanese after COVID hit. I am a very dedicated learner and focus a lot on grammar/kanjis. In addition, I picked up Norwegian and started Korean. I'm interested in meeting Japanese/Korean/Norwegian people in Osaka who can talk with me to practice and teach me about the culture. I started learning Spanish 2 years ago with Duolingo, but I began to take the language more seriously at the end of last year. I would like to practice my grammar and my conversational skills and become more comfortable with the language. I like to read, and I especially enjoy children's classics. I can also speak mandarin and cantonese, though I cannot write or read. If you have an interest in practicing English, I'm sure we can help each other out!

Hello!
After a long career as an economist, I'm easing into a new career as a part-time English teacher. I'm especially interested in helping students or working professionals with pronunciation, business English, and English for academic purposes (e.g., preparing for study abroad, presenting at conferences, reading academic texts, etc.). I'm also curious about Japanese (I only know half of hiragana and maybe 50 words) and Korean (I've learned Hangul and know maybe 200 words, zero grammar).
Actually, I was already an English teacher for two years long ago (1988-90) and now I'm going back where I started. I have a BA in English Lit and two graduate degrees in natural resource economics, so I'm happy to discuss your academic ambitions if you have any. Over the years, I've studied Latin, German, Bahasa Indonesia, and Spanish, but I still have a lot to learn about all of these.
