Hello! I'm an university lecturer in psychology and medicine, I started to practice mandarin a couple of months ago, and would like to be able to be at basic conversationail level before this summer, when I will travel to China for a couple of weeks. I'm interested in most things except sports.

Trying to learn some basic Japanese mostly for hobby use.
I live in a small village in southern Sweden (near the 'larger' cities Kalmar, Karlskrona and Växjö - well, everythings relative, their larger than my village).
Hobbies include computer games, roleplaying, smithing and cooking, the later being a reason for wanting to learn some basics of Japanese as I found I really like Japanese food and I would like to learn more about it ... and reading a Japanese manual with a translator is a serious pain.
