Hello,
My name is Michael, and I have been learning British English since I was around 10 or 11 years old. I am 33 years old now. I have had the opportunity to live, work, and study in England for a couple of years, specifically in Sheffield and London. I have also spent six months living in Auckland, New Zealand.
Since returning home in 2018, I haven't had the chance to consistently use English, which has resulted in my language skills becoming rusty. Although I read English extensively, including novels, online news, and blogs, I lack opportunities to engage in spoken and written English here in France.
I am seeking native English speakers, preferably from the UK, of any gender and age, who would be interested in exchanging messages and/or having regular conversations on various topics. I would greatly appreciate corrections and suggestions to help me improve. My goal is to sound more fluent and natural, ideally approaching the level of a native speaker.
Of course, I am more than willing to help anyone who is learning French. With a master's degree in English-to-French translation, I am confident that I can help you make significant progress in your French skills regardless of your current level or goals.
I want to create a supportive learning environment where you can feel confident to practice without fear of making mistakes or asking questions. It is natural for language learners to make errors, and it is through these mistakes that we all learn and improve. Unfortunately, many of us, including myself, tend to hesitate when it comes to practicing a foreign language. We don't practice as much as we should. Learning a new language should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
