My name is Octavia, I am 26 years old and I am from St Louis, Missouri. I work at a hospital and I am going to school to become a nurse. I hope to eventually become a traveling nurse after a bit. The world is huge and I have never been outside of the US, so I plan to see the world. In my future, sky is the limit.
My interests include photography, singing, art, music, dancing, cooking, reading, going to concerts, watching movies of all different genres and learning/trying new things.
I am very open-minded which is why I have taken it upon myself to learn how to speak Korean and further my knowledge of the Spanish language which I took for 3 years.
Italian, Swahili, French, Chinese, and Vietnamese are new languages that I have added to my list.
I think it would be awesome to make friends on here!

Hi! I am a graduate student completing my masters in Chemistry at SIUE while working as analytical development scientist for Big Pharma. My undergrad degree in chemistry with a minor in biology was obtained from Saint Louis University. I enjoyed hanging out with friends, going to the gym, hiking, and traveling. I am a mom of two beautiful daughters (7&8) I am looking for some "lady friends" (only ladies, I'm not looking for romance) who want to learn Korean and help me learn Japanese. The reason why I'm learning Japanese is that I've been interested in Japanese culture and language since I was young. I like to draw, play video games (favourites are YTTD and Undertale), watch anime (favourite is Death Note), listen to music (favourite genres are city-pop, hyperpop, and alternative) and talk to my friends! I also love Vocaloid (Fukase and V Flower are my favourites) and have been in the Western community for over ten years now! I enjoy alternative/punk fashion and make some of my own jewellery, and I'm working to become a game designer.
I've had a hard time learning languages through typical classes and this seemed like it would be a better option for me. I'm currently trying to learn Japanese and I know some basic phrases and words, but I'm not very good. I'm a bit worried about putting my number on a public profile, so if you would prefer to FaceTime, I can message you my number! I prefer using Discord or texting, and I'm alright with voice/video chat!

I've lacked of speaking practices after became intimidated by the speed of speech from francophones when I traveled in France.
