I’ve studied French, Japanese, and Spanish, and now I’m focused on learning Standard Mandarin.

My goal is to connect with a language exchange partner for a daily 30-minute call, split into 15 minutes of Mandarin practice and 15 minutes of English practice.

We’ll focus on basic sentences and conversation patterns.

I currently know approximately 300 to 400 Hanzi characters and am working on improving my speaking skills.

I love studying kanji (still learning) and can understand Japanese, but I have difficulty with speaking. I cannot write Japanese.

My major in univer sity was Chinese, focusing on Chinese language, literature, and culture. I'm also an amateur writer and have published some novellas and essays, as well as have won a few awards. I’ve been studying Spanish for quite a few years, though not very consistently, so I still consider myself somewhat at the beginning of my learning journey. I can read simple Spanish fairly well, but I find speaking and understanding spoken Spanish much more challenging, which is why I’m hoping to find someone patient to practice with!
