I lived on La Gomera, in the Canary Islands, for one and a half years, and that’s where I started learning Spanish. Now I’m continuing. I learn a lot with Harry Potter. I’ve read the first two books in Spanish, proudly. Talking is still a challenge for me.
I just saw a video on YouTube where a guy said that if he could start over learning Spanish, he would get a language partner from day one. So here I am, on day 1000, looking for a partner. Hopefully :)

I speak German (my native language), English and Spanish. In the past I also learned some French and Portuguese, but I honestly don’t remember much anymore. I even had Latin at school — but since I don’t have any Romans around to practice with, that one is gone too 😄
I’ve been traveling from South to North in Vietnam and will stay in Da Nang until the end of May. I’d like to use this time to learn the basics of Vietnamese because I realized that outside of the main tourist spots, English isn’t really widely spoken. My goal is simple: be able to handle everyday situations like ordering food and drinks, renting a place or a scooter, going kayaking, and asking for prices.
I love being outdoors — hiking in the Swiss mountains, mountain biking, inline skating, packrafting — and of course traveling to discover new places and take photos along the way.
I have a background in digital marketing and enjoy working on online projects and business ideas. I decided to slow down a bit and stay in one place for a longer period, living more like a digital nomad while focusing on developing my own digital projects.
Looking forward to relaxed and interesting conversations and a good language exchange with friendly, open-minded people.

中文 (台湾话)Hi, I'm (my Chinese name is 佛乐) currently learning Chinese as I will live in 杭州 for a year, starting September 2018. I will study Chinese Language and Culture at 浙大. I'm a studied Philosopher, Computer Scientist and Historian and would like to specialize in Chinese Philosophy. I have some experience in teaching German to Chinese, but English would also be no problem (C2 level). If you happen to know 文言文, this would be optimal but not necessary. I also have 微信, WhatsApp and LINE, any of these is suitable. Feel free to contact me or say hi. I would like to expose myself to as much Chinese as possible before I go to 杭州 and while I live there, so be ruthless :)
I am learning traditional and simplified Characters as well, and Skritter says I can write around ~3050 Characters now, so I can read a lot, but need more practice in oral as well as in practical writing.
In my free time I'm reading a lot, writing poetry, going to the Gym, practicing Taijiquan and Qigong (since 6 years), watch movies, and sometimes I play video games. I have too many hobbies :D
