I've faced various challenges in my life, but recently I've been improving little by little, thanks to technology.
From the moment I discovered Western music genres like rock, metal, and hip-hop, as well as video games around the age of 15, I've been captivated by foreign cultures, especially those of the West.
I've been learning English on my own since then, but as I'm based in Japan, my English skills have never felt truly solid.
I'm looking for friends who are open to chatting in either text or voice, whether it's in Japanese or English—whichever you prefer.
Lately, I've developed a fascination with Norway and its language. If you're from there, I would love to connect!
In addition to my interests in music and gaming, I'm also passionate about:
・AI, particularly generative models
・Investing; I used to trade VIX and Forex and plan to do so again once I've saved up enough funds
・IT, especially cybersecurity (although I'm an amateur af)
・Fungi, because of their intriguing and unique characteristics
・Animals like spiders, frogs, and cats, because, well, who doesn't love them?
・Politics and related topics, although respectful communication is key to avoid any awkwardness

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that I work from home 24/7, engaged in some interesting work. This means I'm pretty much online all the time and can respond at your convenience.

Hi ,
my name is Julian. I'm a German guy trying to learn Japanese for a while (i think its my 3rd try now. This time at a community college).
So I’m looking for people to practise and improve my Japanese with. (You should like kids, because my communication level in Japanese might not be far away from this ^^ )
I'm a German native speaker and my English isn't bad as well but it's always nice to improve a bit. I especially love the history and odds of the German language, so if you're interested in some cultural background I can give some insights too.
As for myself I have a Master's degree in Geoinformatics and I am a volunteer addiction worker, enjoy motorcycling, scuba diving, miniature painting, am a gym rat and gamer. So I can sprinkle in a lot of common and odd interests on top of that.
